Mayfest Arts Fair presented by Central Bank Returns to Downtown Lexington
Lexington, KY – The 27th annual Mayfest Arts Fair presented by Central Bank will return to Gratz Park in downtown Lexington on Saturday, May 13 (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sunday, May 14 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.) for two full days of local and regional artists, children’s activities, vendors, concessions and more.
Mayfest Arts Fair is an annual, juried art fair with a focus on a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. In addition to artists from around the region, visitors can expect performances from musicians, dancers, strolling performers, concessions vendors, and family activities. Admission is free and so are many of the activities.
The event is produced by Downtown Lexington Partnership (DLP) and sponsored by Central Bank Trust & Co.
“Central Bank is honored to continue to bring this Mother’s Day tradition to downtown Lexington,” said Lesley Catron, SVP, Director of Marketing at Central Bank. “Mayfest is a wonderful opportunity for the Lexington community to gather and enjoy the diverse arts and culture of our city and our region.”
New to the event this year, DLP partnered with LexArts to assist with artist selection to increase artist quality and diversity.
“LexArts is proud to partner with DLP for Mayfest,” Vice President of Community Arts Nathan Zamarron said. “In addition to receiving an Arts Equity Grant for Mayfest, we were able to tap into our artist network to compliment those of DLP in order to support even more diverse artists and increase arts access for Lexington and the surrounding communities.”
